Wedding Car Hire London

About us

We are a family run business established 20 years. Friendly and professional, with reliability and customer care as our number one priority – We really do take the time and effort required to ensure that you will receive the best possible advice and service available to suit your needs.

Why do people get married?

The reason could be…. a public demonstration of their commitment one to another in front of family and friends, or the desire for their union to be not only legally recognised, but also by their own personal faith or religion.   It can also represent the perfect opportunity for a girl to live out her childhood fantasy of being a true-life princess for a day, and wedded to her very own prince.  On the other-hand it could just be “any excuse for a party”!!!

Whatever the reason, congratulations are in order!

Gold Chauffeur Services is committed to providing you with the opportunity to select your ideal wedding vehicle according to your taste and budget. There is a lot to choose from so once you have perused our website and have come up with a couple of possibilities, then give us a call or drop us a line. We started our family-run business in 1998 and have years of experience in guiding our clients through the process of choosing their ideal car. You won’t find any prices on our website because we believe passionately that every wedding is unique and deserving of our personal attention, from our initial quotation, to answering any queries, through to settling last minute nerves and alterations!

Personal service is our number one priority. We do not operate a call centre nor do we operate a “hard sell” policy. You will find us caring, truthful and honest. After all, your wedding day should be the happiest day of your life and we want to play our part in making that happen for you.

Our wedding car fleet is available in central London, Greater London and the Home Counties – that is, Bedfordshire, parts of Cambridgeshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Essex and most parts of Surrey and Kent.

Central London and the City

St Paul’s Cathedral is one of London’s most iconic landmarks.  Situated on Ludgate Hill at the highest point of the City of London. The seat of the Bishop of London, mother church of the Diocese of London, a Grade I listed building – this beautiful church has proven a popular choice for brides who have booked with GoldChauffeur Services in the past. The original church on this site was founded in AD.604.

During the second world war it was Churchills desire to save St Pauls at all costs.  Despite heavy bombing all around and having suffered a direct hit on the famous dome by an incendiary device during the heavy blitz in the Christmas of 1940, it remained largely intact throughout, and served as a symbol of the British spirit of determination and hope against all odds.

Whilst just north of the Thames Westminster Abbey is and just down the road (C of E) and Cathedral (Catholic).

Indian & Asian Weddings

At Gold Chauffeur Services we will shortly be celebrating our 20th year in the wedding car hire industry.  Over this time we are proud to have provided our vehicles and services for families from many faiths and denominations, including for Sikh, Hindu and Muslim wedding celebrations.  We certainly understand the unique nature of many of the traditional ceremonies and rituals involved in such events.  For example, the crushing of the coconut (a symbol of good luck and purity) by driving over it, or the penultimate act in the vidaai ceremony, when the Bride’s brothers and cousins push their car from behind (or lift the doli) as they wish her luck by pushing them towards a joyful life.

Over the years the modern Bentleys and Rolls Royce Ghosts and Phantoms have long been a consistent favourite at these weddings, and let’s be clear we are happy to accommodate and provide the best of these Modern Classics.  However, there has been a marked sea-change with regard to these vehicles of choice in recent years, as more and more are opting for the genuine Vintage Rolls Royce’s, with their unique combination of character,  quality and style.

So why not seriously stand out from the crowd and make a real statement by hiring one of these impressive vehicles for your special day!

Here are just two examples of what we can provide from the Vintage Wedding Car range :

Famous London Registry Offices

If a religious church ceremony is neither appropriate nor desired, there are some attractive alternatives in our Capital city for betrothed couples.

Still one of the “hippest” places to get married, Chelsea Register Office at the Old Town Hall on the Kings Road is hard to beat.  Boasting luxurious rooms, the office can cater from four to forty guests. Judy Garland married Micky Deans at this location in 1969, just a few months before her tragic death; the infamous Wallis Simpson was wed here in 1928 – her next marriage to the then King Edward VIII made her Duchess of Windsor and forced his abdication. More recently Tracey Thorn and Ben Watts of pop band Everything But The Girl decided to get married here in 2009 – after 28 years together!

Known today as The Westminster Register Office, Marylebone Registry Office in Marylebone Road, North West London is open for both marriages and civil ceremonies and has seen some famous faces pass through its doors. On 12th March 1969 Paul McCartney married Linda Eastman here, and Richard Starkey (better known as Ringo Starr) married Barbara Goldbach on 27th April 1981 – four months after the murder of former bandmate John Lennon. Cilla Black and her then manager Bobby Willis wed at Marylebone in 1969, and Liam Gallagher of Oasis fame used the facilities twice……  in 1997 when he married Patsy Kensit, and again on Valentines Day 2008 when he tied the knot with Nicole Appleton.
